Minami Ando —Japanese ballet dancer, model, and stuntwoman in NYC
She graduated from the Joffrey Ballet School as a Merit Scholarship recipient, earning a BFA in Music, Dance, and Theatre from New Jersey City University with cum laude honors. Based in New York City, she has appeared in Madonna’s “Hung Up on Tokischa” music video, HBO Max’s The Penguin, and Bad Bunny’s “EL ClúB” music video, as well as in editorials for GQ Thailand, People, A24, and Pap Magazine, and in campaigns for Sephora and Spencer’s.
She performed live in SeaWorld San Antonio’s Japanese Living Garden show in 2025. Specializing in stunt work, Minami performs fight scenes in films and short projects, and has also appeared as background talent in productions such as Searchlight Pictures' A Complete Unknown starring Timothée Chalamet.
Her work spans dance, acting, stunts, and documentaries, with films premiered at Cinema Village and the SVA Theatre in Manhattan, and featured in festivals across Canada, Europe, and Japan. She starred in the documentary City Swan, which premiered on NOWNESS, and a dance film she contributed to, FLOW, will debut at Japan Society in Manhattan in summer 2025.
